This is the second in a series of eyeglass cases made from Tochigi Leather. Tochigi Leather is made in Tochigi prefecture, using a unique water-pressing technique,  making it the finest leather in Japan. We selected leather with a good balance of the unique texture of tannin tanning and surface luster, and created a hard-type eyeglass case using water-pressing molding. This vegetable-tanned leather is a leather that you can enjoy changing over time, and the color will become darker with repeated use.

This sturdy hard-type case uses an iron core, so it won't collapse even under considerable pressure. The core is wrapped in synthetic leather of a different color from the surface, allowing you to enjoy a color accent. The stitching on the front has been removed, differentiatingt it from the previous model.

Tanning leather retains the appearance of the cow when it was alive. We hope you will appreciate the blood vessels and scabs as part of the leather's individuality. Also, each item is handmade by craftsmen, so please enjoy the unique character of each piece.

This product uses dyed genuine leather. If rubbed against clothing while damp, color transfer may occur. Please be especially careful on rainy days or when wearing light-colored clothing. As it is natural leather, there will be individual differences in appearance. As you use it repeatedly, it will change over time and the color will deepen.
